Origin: Guppies are native to Barbados, Brazil, Guyana, Trinidad, Tobago, and Venezuela.
Diet: Guppies are mainly omnivorous fish, often accepting flaked food, frozen brine shrimp and will also pick at algae wafers and shrimp tablets.
Compatibility: Guppies are generally a peaceful fish, but can sometimes exhibit aggressive behaviors, like fin nipping, towards other top water swimming fish. They have been kept in both fresh and saltwater aquariums, and are an excellent addition of colour into community tanks.
