Peter's Reef Essentials Calcium
Calcium is one of the most important elements in a thriving reef aquarium. It is essential for the growth and skeletal development of stony corals, clams, coralline algae, and other calcifying organisms.
For best results, maintain calcium levels between 380–450 ppm and magnesium levels between 1280–1350 ppm to help prevent calcium from precipitating out of solution. Regular testing and supplementation will help promote healthy growth, vibrant coloration, and long-term reef stability.
Dose:
1 mL per gallon raises calcium by approximately 12 ppm.
Directions:
Shake well before use. Add to a high-flow area of the aquarium. Do not increase calcium levels by more than 50 ppm per day. Test regularly and adjust dosing as needed.
