Building on the mighty FX platform is the all-new FX4, a compact "little brother" to the FX6. Capable of outputting 700 GPH, FX4 bridges the gap between the Fluval 406 and the FX6 canister, making it an ideal choice for consumers with aquariums up to 250 gallons.
The latest generation of FX6 incorporates 2 additional trays for even greater media capacity and flexibility. With FX, the water path involves a sequential process that makes it cleaner and cleaner as it travels through each stage of filtration. This concept is far more efficient and effective than other canisters that force water through all filtration stages in one shot.The FX series features a multi-functional utility valve drain at its base, making it possible to empty the canister and perform seamless water changes by draining and refilling water directly from it (and all without disturbing your setup or tank inhabitants). As an added bonus, convenient hosing clips, located on the filter lid, allows for simple storage of the hosing when not in use.
